I suppose the sexy woman who teld the gun is the man's wife. She wanted to kill him because she had learnt his affair with an other woman. But, this other woman, his lover, also wanted to kill him because he didn't want to divorce his wife. The night of the crime, this woman got into the home, and did what the man's wife should have done, she killed him.
